❤️ There’s No Place Like Homecoming at PBHS! ❤️

What a week of school spirit, laughter, traditions, and memories! Bringing homecoming to life takes so many helping hands, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this week special.

Mrs. Richard, Ms. McIver, and Ms. Bliss: Thank you for helping ensure our homecoming court had a wonderful week! From planning to bringing all the things I imagined to life, your time, creativity, and willingness to jump in meant so much.

Mrs. Delahoussaye and her wonderful students: Thank you for preparing and serving our homecoming court luncheon with such care. A special thank-you to Mrs. Meche for helping with the meal, too! You helped make our court feel celebrated.

Dr. Sharkey and our Student Council members: Thank you for organizing our parade and keeping the excitement going with the daily games and point system! Your ideas brought a fun, creative energy to the week. A special shout-out to Madison Jennings, whose leadership shined throughout it all. Madison, you represented the pride and unity that PBHS stands for!

Our rockstar junior sponsors, especially Mrs. Willis: Thank you for planning our theme, dress days, and all the fun that came with them! Your creativity and hard work helped make “No Place Like Homecoming” a week to remember.

Our students: Thank you for dressing up, joining the activities, and bringing your Red Devil spirit every day! We hope you had as much fun participating as we had watching you enjoy it.

Our coaches across all sports: Thank you for being involved and making it possible for your athletes to participate. We appreciate your support in bringing our school together.

Our parents and families: Thank you for supporting us throughout the week, attending our events, joining us for the pep rally, and cheering us on at last night’s game. Your presence helped make these moments even more special!

Our teachers and staff: Thank you for embracing the dress days, helping organize and carry out our events, and adding to the fun. So much happens behind the scenes, and your efforts did not go unnoticed. We hope you enjoyed the week, too!

Finally, Mrs. Lavergne: Thank you for supporting our vision and allowing us to carry on beloved traditions while creating new ones. We are grateful for the opportunity to make these memories for our students.

Homecoming week is a big undertaking, but seeing our school come together makes every bit of the work worthwhile. Tonight’s homecoming dance will close out a fantastic week—and yes, we are already dreaming up next year’s festivities! ✨

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping make the magic happen. There truly is no place like PBHS!

Sorry for the late notice! We have only just been informed that there is road construction on Bayou Road, and is blocking parent pick up traffic. For today we will reroute to the front of the school. All car riders will still be dismissed at 2:48pm, and parents can pull through the front circle after buses have exited. Thank you for your cooperation.

Subject: Homecoming 2026: Game Day Guidelines & Festivities!

Dear School Community,
Homecoming is finally here! We are thrilled to welcome our students, alumni, families, and community members to campus this Friday night. As we gather to celebrate our tradition and cheer on our team, we want to ensure everyone has a fun, spirited, and safe evening.

We know that many of our alumni are excited to gather and tailgate on the OG Track before kickoff! We encourage all our returning alumni and fans to enjoy the festivities, celebrate responsibly, and have a wonderful time reconnecting.

To help us keep game day safe, smooth, and enjoyable for fans of all ages, please review the following campus standards before heading out:

Campus Safety Standards:
*Drug-Free & Alcohol-Free Zone: The possession, consumption, or distribution of alcohol, illegal substances, and tobacco/vaping products is strictly prohibited everywhere on campus, including all parking lots, and athletic fields.
*Weapon-Free Zone: Firearms, weapons, or dangerous items of any kind are strictly prohibited on all school property.

Stadium Entry & Event Policies:
*Clear Bag Policy: To streamline entry and enhance security, only clear bags (clear totes, clear plastic storage bags) or small clutch purses are permitted inside the stadium.
*Cashless Venue: All gate ticketing, concessions, and merchandise purchases are completely cashless. Please plan to pay with a debit card, credit card, or mobile payment option.

Thank you for your partnership in keeping our Homecoming celebration safe, positive, and family-friendly for our entire school family.

We look forward to seeing everyone in the stands—Go Team!

Warm regards,
School Administration

Attention High School Parents:
Powder Puff Game is today at 2pm. High School parents are invited to attend free of charge. We ask that you please park along Saizan Ave, and not within our gates as not to disrupt the arrival of the buses. Please do not park in the student parking lot either so you are not blocking parent pick up line at dismissal. Once you park along Saizan Ave, please walk between the main building and the gym towards the back practice field. Bring your chairs and noise makers, and let's cheer on our Juniors and Seniors as they compete in the annual Powder Puff game today! Go Big Red!!

🔥 It’s National Fire Prevention Week (October 4th–10th)! 🔥
Safety begins at home! This week, St. Landry Parish School District is highlighting essential fire safety tips to help keep our students, families, and community safe.
Take a moment to review these key safety practices with your family:
🚨 Test Alarms Monthly: Press the test button on all smoke alarms every month.
🚗 Plan 2 Ways Out: Create and practice a home escape plan with two exits from every room.
🍳 Watch Your Cooking: Never leave food unattended on the stovetop.
🔥 Give Heaters 3 Feet: Keep space heaters at least three feet from anything that can burn.
🏃‍♂️ Get Out, Stay Out: Once you escape a fire, go to your family meeting spot and never re-enter the building.
Let’s work together to practice fire safety every day! 🚒👨‍🚒
